Basic info Car: 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Date added: Friday, 17. October 2008 From garage: - ATC - Hall of Fame Description: -ATC- Affiliated What's Up? First up... this will be the last time I touch ProStreet or any NFS for a while... that also means CTC will be on hold, returning some time after the 15th of November, after my last exam. Yep, exams... I'm in my final year of High School, I have one month left of 13 years of schooling (R->12), and my subjects are no walk in the park, so that means that I need to focus on them. So I'll be back soon. Until then, I'll probably lurk around when I'm bored and tired... so I'll comment between study and other stuff going on, but yeah, I won't be very active. So... I'll leave you with one of the freshest rides around, and I should return with my bit of a collaboration I started a few months ago, which is a perfect demo car for the wide body challenge! Except it's edited... lol. I may also bug the photoshop gurus around as I might be doing the cover art for the Yr 12 DVD. The Car Well, started work on this about two days before the street racing challenge was officially announced. Started toying with ideas for the challenge, and initially tried to replicate the green crew vinyl here: [link] Despite my utterly useless replica skills, it turned out pretty fresh, and even more impressive than it's initial street racer concept. However, that meant that I couldn't enter it. So, spent some time on it, failed at replicating the vinyl. Came back next day, did a pretty interesting thing with the gradients... ended up here (with street racing elements left over): [link] Asked for a few opinions, was busy with revision, came back last week and worked on it: [link] Didn't like it, and with some more suggestions from some peers, came back today to announce my break, perfected it and yeah... enjoy. -Body: Stock because it's not ugly. Spoiler had to be swapped so I could colour-match it... went for a near-stock design. -Rims: Sharp, unique design to suit the tribals. In a simple chrome colour, in typical show fashion. -Colours: It's finally springtime down under, and the cold winter is over. We've got blue skies, so I painted the car sky blue, stunning sunsets, and plenty of flora blooming, so went for nice, warm happy colours. Started this at the beginning of spring, so it was quite fitting. -Vinyls: It wasn't supposed to be like that... dunno how it ended up like that, but I'm not complaining, lol. The decals fill a bit of space nicelt, and have been placed to flow with the layout, as if they are cut out of the paintwork. Layers: 40 Build Time: 10 hours Time from concept to reality: 3 weeks 2 days Special Thanks Fellow -ATC- crew members who provided their creative input. --Rx7- -Moe-Z- -n a j i n and also to Rizur Tags The Entry's Categories
